June ‘25

A hello to you all on what is a sweltering day!

Here’s a little (late) recap on my June (writing this on the first day of July- Time is FLYING for me right now)!

I’ve been focusing on expanding my greeting card range and am excited to announce that I have lots of new designs, including some fun birthday cards! My dog birthday cards feature my watercolour portraits designs- I hope that you love them :) They are available on my website here. I’ll be adding to them regularly, with many more breeds so watch this space!

Some other new offerings include some greeting cards for those very special people in your life; cards with gorgeous colours and positive sentiments. Anyone receiving one of these is sure to feel valued and cherished. They are all blank inside so can be tailored to any occasion.

Grab yours here.

All greeting cards are A6 in size and come with a brown recyclable envelope and biodegradable/compostable sleeve.

  • Premium Matte 360 gsm paper ensures high quality look and feel

  • Thick and decadent

  • Feel: Smooth, uncoated front & silky back

I’m continuing to work on my big oil painting ‘Sunlight on the Sea’ (please ignore the price tag and incorrect name on the easel- I’ve nabbed one of my market easels to paint on!), but it’s taken a real back seat whilst I’ve been focused on lots of wholesale orders and card designing this month. I’ll be back to painting in July and I’m really looking forward to pouring my heart and soul into this.

Talking of painting, my studio space (aka conservatory), which is where I paint due to the splendid light, has been quite a challenging place to be in June. The crazy hot heatwave we’ve had has meant that working in it has been next to impossible. It’s been over 36 degrees in there on some days, and even my candles have suffered (see photo below!). I’m expecting July will be a similar challenge- It’s definitely time to decamp everything out into the garden and paint outside under a shady tree!

I’ve been busy working on some pet portraits throughout June, and was happy to have a sweet little cat to paint in watercolour- It makes a refreshing change to the usual dogs, though I love painting these too of course! If you’d like to treat yourself, or a loved one to a very special portrait, all the info is here.

Finally, I’m thrilled to have just set up a little pop up exhibition in the Cirencester Local Information Centre’s Daniel Bingham Foundation Gallery. Five of my favourites (3 originals and 2 giclee prints) will hang there until Sunday 31st August 2025. Check it out if you are in Cirencester :)

Big love and thanks for the continuing support friends,

Keep cool!

Charlotte
